Adding a password to protect your account has several benefits. It adds an additional layer of protection against threats, especially hacking.
Adding a password in Windows is a simple process, first go to Start. Click on little picture at the top on the right side (in my case the orange flower). This will take you to your account options.
Click Create a Password for your account.
Type in your desired password and if desired a password hint.
Click Create Password when done. This process is basically the same for Windows Vista and Windows XP as well.
